I wonder if anyone has tried a ceilidh / fais-do-do combo?
[fais-do-do is the cajun version of Sat. night community dance.]
Yes, in a "round-about" way -- my MIL, who taught a class on Cajun culture at one of the local universities (she's a sociology major) spoke to our Scottish society about the history and culture of the Cajuns, and their ties to the Scots and Irish -- we had traditional Cajun food and music, as well as Scottish Country and Cajun dance!
Cheers,
