    Sale at Scottishkilts.net

I got this email from David McSweeney this morning and thought some of you fine gents may be interested. If you have been on the fence about ordering something from them, now is the time to do it.
We're running a 10% sale this weekend to clear out some stock for the
Spring, which has just this minute started. 10% off all products --- the
offer expires at midnight on Sunday.
I just got my dress sporran, and the only other thing tempting me right now is that 5 yard Hunting Stewart PV kilt for $75....oops, I guess it is $67.5US now.

I wonder when that went up? It looks like the Irish American kilts went up a touch too. Maybe you guys were all ordeing so many, they couldn't keep up. Even at $81 that is still the best deal on a PV 5 yarder around, and made in Scotland to boot.

Some good deals on everything else. What do I need, what do I want?

I just looked at kiltstore and their rates are higher. I guess the exchange rate is in the tank right now.

I have always found kiltstore's rates higher than Scottishkilts, even with the 10% discount.

I actually emailed Kilt Store this week. I was looking to order a $45 kilt for my 5 year old. Their old special was any orders over $50 was free shipping (post). That has now changed to anything over $200. I just doesn't make sense to me to order a $45 kilt and pay $21 ($40 something with Fed Ex) for shipping. I also don't like the different prices on kilts based each individual tartan.

I think this brooch is very simple, yet striking:

I do like Scottish Kilts. If I can get the same thing there vs. Kiltstore, it is typically cheaper. I've got a couple of kilt pins on order from them right now.

I've got my eye on another tweed argyle jacket & vest combo along with a few of the kilt pins.
