Gentlemen (and ladies, too), I think I run small risk of contradiction when I state that many of us take the positive comments, smiles and polite questions as being amongst the "perks" of kilt-wearing. Ay, the comfort is grand, but the attention is frosting on the cake.

No contradiction from me, either! I got interested in kilts because I thought that they looked cool. Then I tried one on and loved the comfort. That said, I certainly haven't turned down the positive comments! (And I'm getting pretty good at ignoring the stares!)
