    I certainly wouldn't.

If anybody expressing their opinion on these 'kilts' thinks they look great and wants to purchase and wear one...then fine that is their decision and their right to do so. Whereas I, on the other hand think that they look like skirts for men, and I would not consider purchasing one...let alone wear one. that is my opinion and my right .
Not liking something, and saying so are one thing. You actually said they were poor quality. Have you ever seen a UK other than a pic. While I agree that their website may not be doing their product justice, it does stem from their bohemian - non traditional corporate ideals. however, their products are usually very well made (I've personally only had a minor problem with one of my 13 UKs - and even then it wasn't a big enough problem that I sent it back). Yes some others have received flawed kilts (Rom comes to mind), but their quality checks are getting better, and over all they do a good job, especially considering that they are one of (if not the) largest manufacturer or kilt type clothing in the world.

Again, don’t like their look (or the look of other non-traditional kilts) fine, but don't disparage quality if you've never actually seen one.

Finally for the original post that called them crappy. Coming from someone that owns a $60 e-bay kilt I find that extremely hilarious.

My $60 ebay kilt is superior to those rags, at a fraction of the cost.

It's not fair to compare my $600 tank to them, so I won't.

Not starting a fight, just want to know.

Several people have questioned UK's quality in the past, but I have never seen anyone else call them crappy or rags. What is your opinion based on?

And (to go with the other thread about one UK rep putting down a competitor) I'm not calling your Heretage of Scotland kilt crap or not a real kilt, but there have been many here that have. I myself own a SWK and for the $70 I paid for it, it was worth it (heck I'm seriously considering getting a Saffron). By the same token if it was worth $70 then my UK's are all worth what I paid as well (and them some).

So, do you just not like the style? Did you get one that fell apart? Did Otto tick you off some how? Give me a justification for crappy rags.

You take a shot like that and claim you're not starting a fight? Bull.

I don't know Otto. He's probably a hell of a guy. I think the style is awful. The one that fell apart was a friend's, not mine. I couldn't talk him out of buying it at an Irish festival. He won't do it again.

In truth, I'd have no problem with them, at all, if they were sold for the $20 - $30 they're worth. And, I have absolutely no problem with people disagreeing with me and buying them for whatever they feel like paying.

I will express my opinions about them, however, and I don't much care who likes it.

I had no problem with your opinion that you don't like them. Just want to know why. Aparently you had a friend that had a problem. What was it? Did he call UK and try to get it rectified?

I have no problem with a legitimate complaint, but if you're going to bash a product at least give a reason, not "they suck, because they suck"
