I've been wearing the feileadh bhreacain for about a decade and a half as a member of multiple re-enactment/recreation groups, but I've never owned a philibeg... until now. Kilt-wearers today put up with a lot from people who lack the intestinal fortitude to wear what they want. I've got a few stories about forgetting I'm wearing clothing more appropriate for over four centuries back and half a world away. I'm also looking for a decent daywear sporran that doesn't look like a museum or costume piece. I really like the "wide-mouth" pattern that Thompson put in the back of "So You're Going to Wear the Kilt."
