    Thanks ckelly,

Nice to know more about the young man. His head seems in the right place wanting to wear a kilt to honor his heritage.

If you ever wanna know more about Perry Como, The Kingston Trio, or The Ventures....let me know.

    Ron,

You should see my collection of Bing Crosby, Mel Torme, Ella Fitzgerald and the whole Cole Porter Songbook featuring songs by Billie Holiday and Louis Armstrong. I appreciate it all except Rap and techno. I grew up constantly listening to Harry Belafonte and the Beach Boys - now there's a combination. Another fun current band is called the Arctic Monkeys. I also love Elvis Costello, Joan Armatrading, Warren Zevon, Van Morrison, Melissa Etheridge, Sarah McCklachlan and a lot of traditional and pub Irish bands. I guess my musical tastes are as ecclectic as my choice of wearing a kilt.

    Aye,

Like with kilts, I like what I like. Won't tell you about my three Michael Parks blues records from the 70's (guy who played lead in the Then Came Bronson series about a loner roaming the land on a motorcycle)....or did I just?

Michael Parks sings the blues??

I remember him. In fact, I almost ran into him, literally, when they were filming a seen for that show down at a motel near where I lived in Mesa, Arizona. I walked around the corner and there he was, wearing that black watch cap and everything. Next thing I heard was the director yelling “Hey, kid! Get out of the shot!”

Hadn’t thought about that one for a while.

Lucky you, bet that watch cap was toasty in Mesa...

I have three albums of his...a low throaty drunk fun sound...Oklahoma Hills was my favorite. Don't think any of them made CD runs. Someday gotta find and dust off the ol' phonograph and listen to them.
