quick note about the kilts before I post any pics...
1. As per tartan hiker's review...the leather is for sh!te....the straps are horribly stiff, and the buckle leather is barely leather at all. The buckles themselves aren't too bad, but I'll be asking some of the leatherworkers here for prices on making four sets of replacements. Cavscout, you busy?
2. The cloth iteself it definitly heavy weight, no matter what it is made of. It feels like there is a mile of fabric in there. Definitly much heavier than my lightweight 5-yarder. I think it may actually be bulletproof.
3. The pleats are sharp and look to be correctly aligned to the stripe. I'll let you decide.
otherwise, they look fine. Wish the apron edge wasn't hemmed...but that is fine. The do have these strange loops on the inside, though, similar to what you would find in a woman's evening dress. Anyway, off to try it on.....

so far so good. Looks like the kilt fits quite nicely, althout the outer apron is a bit shorter than I would like (by an inch or so). But at $50 a whack, I'm not going to pitch much of a fit.
