Oh man, I didn't need to know that. Or, maybe I did.

I've been thinking that of any besides Blackwatch and such, I could go with the California tartan. I'm sixth generation Californian. ;)

    Thumbs down

I would not even be tempted. I bought a SportKilt in desert camo at the Highland Games in Pleasanton last year and it was a HUGE dissapointment. It does not lay right, the fabric will not hold a pleat and the elastic waistband really, really sucks! I guess the price is what sucked me in and I figured I'd keep it just to wear around the house or do yard work, etc... Baaahhh! Big mistake. I don't even count it as a true kilt in my collection. It is crap.

Thumbs up New SKs with belt loops and sewn pleats

I got one of the desert camo SportKilts a couple of years ago, and it was pretty much a waist. The material was a very heavy duc-material, without the sewn down pleats or belt loops, etc.

The new SKs are better, and in the Cali tartan I would presume you would get one about the same as my St Andrews (USA) tartan. While that kilt is not a tank, but it is superior to the old Desert Camo in every way... and it was worth the money.

    Just my $0.02... YMMV.
