Best of luck. The site looks great and the lobster logo is terrific. I also like the suggestion about a dark grey fabric as another alternative.

    Cheers! Bill

Allrighty, then. Most of the formatting has been fixed. Still a bit of that to do. A couple of pics on the gent's page are up. A few more to do. All that can wait until tomorrow. I was out doing yardwork today. I'm fried. Now the wife has some nice Merlot going, and I don't think her intentions are honourable.

    Answers to some questions:

    1. Leine shirts. I doubt it. I'm not trying to offer renaissance clothing. And, of course, the leine was a full garment on it's own. The kilted skirts for ladies were originally to have been in 100% linen. But the stuff just doesn't drape well, and care is horrendous, so the linen/rayon blend was the answer.

    2. Colours: grey and black can be had in both weights of wool.

    3. The Kilted Krustacean will be available on shirts. I think to start I might just do it on one of those free sites. Anyone use one of them?

    4. Garters: yes. Todd, you received yours yet??

    Anything else?

Well done, a credit to PEI.

Like the lobster too...except makes me cringe a bit....old joke, "Do you know how to tell what clan a Scotsman belongs to? Well, you reach up underneath his kilt and if you grab ahold of a quarter pounder he's a McDonald." Cringing at thoughts of that lobster claw reaching up.....

Thanks for the clarification on the saffron shades....mighty tempting...gotta get my plastic out of ICU first.

And, not sure why the tartan kilt pics after reading you don't make them...confusing.

Hope we can all say we knew you when once you're rich and famous.

    Ron,

it says on the mainpage, if you want tartan, just ask. As for the pics, its because those are a couple of the ones I've made. Still haven't aquired a digital, so the pics were taken by friends. Both the guys in those particular pics are buddies, who needed new kilts. Fast.

Actually received an email from Gordon Kirkbright not long ago, and if tartan is what someone wants, hes the guy I'll deal with. Customs be damned. We all pay enough taxes without having to pay more.
The solids I will be using are all NAFTA certified. In other words, folks in the States will have NO problem with paying duty, 'cause there just ain't none.

Hope we can all say we knew you when once you're rich and famous.
    BWAHAHAHAHAHA...good one. Rich...you slay me.

The Kilted Krustacean (yeah, I know it should be a C, not K). Think I'll have to copyright him.

Just had a horrible thought...I might make money off the logo and not any as a kiltmaker.

Tell ya the truth, probably. Too much pride.

I mentioned in my initial thread about this that I was/am an artist. Works in several international Museums, galleries, blah blah blah, including the Smithsonian. Thats all great, but if people won't buy your work, seems worthless to me. I can't really explain my stuff, I'll have to dig out the old CDs and find some pics.

Just imagine something 3"x2", not made of precious metal, that takes 30-40 hours to make, therefore going for some big $$$. Or double that size, which would go for a month's salary. Not too many "Joe's" will pay that.

Oh, almost forgot. Initial Payment Info mentioned 50% down, 50% before shipping. Got rid of that on the site as Paypal fees would be nuts. Still stands for XMarkers though, 'cause I know most of you guys have semi-melted plastic.

I will make the "tartan" kilt reference more prominent though, just in case. Thanks for that, Ron.

I have not seen "hide nor hair" of them. Hopefully they'll arrive soon!

    Cheers,
