Yup, That was Wompet's cloth, now sitting in my office in the line of kilts to be made. I expect the others of you who arranged for their cloth to be sent to me will be arriving soon...

Nice to see you at the museum Jerry! Best customer of the day in the gift shop! Nice meeting your lovely wife, as well.

I have been periodically checking the tartans authority website for sign that the Xmarks tartan has been added to the list. Haven't seen anything yet. So at what point does it become official?

It has been listed in one of the newsletters, so I would call it official. They just need to update the website.

Well, it's been almost a full day since I read the first post, so I think I've shown enough restraint ...

YES! Matt has my cloth! Matt has my cloth! HEH-hehheh-heh-hah!

Ahem ... now that I have that out of my system, I return you to your regular thread, while I settle back into Phase 2 of the XMarks Jones - waiting for the kilt.

Wompet, good form my man! No gloating as the first reply on the thread, unlike my selfish whining! Not that there is anything wrong with that...

I wish you the quickest delivery. What did you decide for a kilt? Box vs. knife pleat, and sett or stripe?

I thought with box-pleated kilts being Matt's specialty, and him being the designer of the XMarks tartan, that it seemed appropriate that this (first?) one be box-pleated. I did order 4 meters of double-width cloth, so the possibility of a second knife-pleated casual is there.

Going by the pictures Steve posted here, I had wanted it pleated to the gray stripe. Matt told me that wouldn't work with the box pleat, so the kilt will be pleated to the yellow stripe.

That should look sharp! I was debating between pelating to the yellow and grey myself (opted for grey).
