We do not sell advanced tickets. The admission price is $15 and that will take care of you for the whole day, day festival plus the night time show. Just show up with the money, and you will get in.

I'm hoping to make it up there. And my grandmother from Texas will be visiting at the same time so I'll have her with me. It'll be her first highland festival!

I also plan on being there to see Albannach. This will be my first trip to the Maryland festival. It's going to be a rough trip for me, involving getting up at around 5:30 and leaving around 6:30 to drive directly to the festival. I was planning on coming up on Friday night, but my daughter has classes that weekend, so there would be no one to take care of our dogs. She gets home Saturday afternoon, and I do plan on staying over Saturday night and taking my time on the drive back home though.

I was just mandated to work that Saturday. Would anyone like to work for me so I can play?

This is just to bump this up to the top again. It's now definite, My wife and I are going to be at this event. It appears that it will probably be the only chance I get to see Albannoch perform. Grandfather mountain is just too long a drive. I'm leaving Amelia County at about 6 AM on the 13th( about a 3 and a half hour drive) and will stay overnight in Frederick that night. My plan is to wear my Macneil casual kilt with the Xmarks tee shirt (weather permitting). I'm looking forward to maybe meeting some of you other Xmarkers there.

It's a definite that I'll be going there on Saturday too! We're going try to be there by 12 and see how long we'll stay (depends on how tired I get). It'll be Nopadon, my grandmother and myself attending. I can't wait!

beaucoup de fun in Urbana!
Didn't see, er um, rather recognize, anyone there and my mate here had to work so I did the trek loner style. Got there at noon and stayed till after 5. Saw some great pipers, lots of clans represented with clan society booths, scary big guys hurled things, and some really fun bands rocked out. Kilts, kilts, everywhere. It was green, mostly overcast and a PERFECT day. Wish I'd run into an Xmarker, but as they say, "Next year in the promised land".
Btw, I here there's a fete coming in June: something on the Potomac?

You probably did run into me. I was one of those in the red staff shirts, but you could easily tell who I was. I was the one with all the drinking horns, with a really big drinking horn hanig around me neck.
