100% Virgin Acrylic
I think that this is because acrylic can be recyled from previous incarnations like plastic bottles and other garments. It's to let you know that your fabric wasn't a 2 liter Coke bottle before it got made into a sweater. I seem to remember that the folks who pioneered the original polar fleece material used recyled acrylic to make it.
