Another Ashevillian!
That makes at least three of us in Asheville proper and several more within spittin' distance! And you're right...walking about in downtown Asheville in a kilt is not going to draw much attention.
Welcome aboard!

Welcome - it's a great place here. It's nice to see NC people as I spent 3 years there living in either Cary or Pinehurst. I'd like to go back for retirement but can't decide whether it should be Pinehurst or somewhere on the coast. Make sure to wear those kilts on the golf course too.

G'day Barclay, and welcome to the fray.

H'lo cousin! I have seen the name Heath in the Broadside or on the site, would that be you? I am of the Barkley spelling, too. I hail from the Robert Barkley branch that settled in Georgia, Alabama and the Carolinas.
Thanks for the welcome, gents! I've been poking around the site and having a good time reading, I'm even psyched to have signed up for an Asheville kilt night next week!
Yes...I see the addiction of which you speak!
Joe - oh, I know exactly where "burlin' sprangs" is! I have some customers there and in Spartanburg so I come through there fairly frequently. That little town is growing so fast! Every time I'm there there's a new neighborhood (or giant WalMart). LOL
