Even a high carbon steel blade can chip or break when in use, any use, but for stabbing purposes the high impact plastic knives are just as good. Chris.

The nylon knives are "okay" for cutting. But in all honesty, they're meant for stabbing attacks, and are generally advertised as self-defense weapons.
