    Trip to Great Falls, VA

My wife and I took the pugs to Great Falls in VA yesterday. It amazing how a spot 15 mins away from our house in Fairfax can make you feel a world away.

I'm wearing my tan cord UK. Glad I wore something a little heavier yesterday as it did get a little windy.

First pic is of me on the rocks just below the falls:

Me holding the pugs so they will sit still. A tad dark, sorry:

And finally, standing in one of the numerous "potholes" in the rocks:

love the cap with the kilt. it's one of my favorite accessories when I wear my kilt!

also that UK looks great. pretty sold on them as my first contemporary. now to get my tank, then I can start on the contemporaries!

It looks like you are having fun. Have you gone on the bird walks on the weekends. For hiking I favor the Maryland side Great Falls Tavern or park by Old Anglers Inn. only 20 minutes from my home.

Great pics! I love getting out in the rocks and woods to do some climbing around. Used to love to take the dogs, but they (well only 1 at this point) have gotten too old.

Great Falls is one of the best places in the Greater DC area for hiking. It's pretty unbelievable how nice / quiet / wilderness it is so close to the beltway.

Way2fractious - you need to consider adding this to your itenerary.

I like hiking on both sides of the falls and am looking forward to doing it this summer in a kilt. Whooo whooo!

Oh god, great falls scares me. I flipped at the bottom of the rapids in a kayak, got stuck inside. not fun stuff. Beautiful scenery though.
Glad to see you had fun
