My son and I caught them last Friday in Asheville, NC and what motm says is absolutely true. Fabulous show!

They are on the line up for the Glasgow Lands Festival this weekend in Florence, MA.
After this review I will make sure I am around for one fo their two sets. And if they are great, maybe I will watch both!

Thanks for the review. Have missed seeing these guys live because they don't seem to make it up here in this area much anymore. I was hopeing for a return this year at the Fergus games but they announce the entertainment at the last minute for some reason. The only band name released so far is the Glengarry Bhoys on Saturday Aug. 12. We only know that because of the band themselves and Phatpiper.
Look forward to seeing them soon.
It would be neat to compare them to the band we saw a few years back.

I saw them a few weeks ago, and bought the new CD - I like it, but (I don't want to sound like Eyore, but....) I kind of feel betrayed. They, like many before them, have turned their backs, at least partially, on the celtic sounds that got them recognised to begin with and have gone to a much more mainstream sound. While they still sound great, and I like the new CD, I wish they would stay more loyal to their celtic rock roots. I will continue to buy their CDs and go to see them live, just like I do 7N. I just hope that they remember the sound, and the people, that first bought their music and came to see their shows.
Just my opinion, which sounds much harsher in print that I actually meant it.

Which of their CDs captures them at their best before they moved to a more mainstream sound?
