    Buzz Kidder kilt adventure

Some of you may remember my troubles with Buzz Kidder with my brown sporran; but for those that do not; I was sent two sporrans, after I was told the order was lost, and eventually sent the latter arrival back, after I dyed the first arrival. The first was too light, so I dyed it, and the second was perfect, but when it arrived, it was too late. The company was gracious enough to send me a free T-shirt, and refund my shipping. I talked on the phone with a SUPER NICE LADY at the store.

So I ordered a Canvas kilt. It was delayed because the "order was lost" and the promised phone call "if it was not shipped by the end of the week" never came. I eventually called the same SUPER NICE LADY, and it was shipped.

But, and big BUT....The canvas kilt I received did not have a velcro closure, as the webpage stated. It had three straps. No problem in that regard, I like straps more than velcro anyway. The problem was that I ordered it at my pant's waist size, which is the height the model in the pics on the website was wearing it. I intended it for a nice hiking kilt. With no velcro, and the three straps, it is the height of a traditional kilt, and was too small. I needed another 1- 1 1/2 more inches.

I tried to call the SUPER NICE LADY, but the website was down (now it's back up) so I was unable to get the phone number. I sent it back with a letter expalining the problem, and I got a full refund, shipping included.

My suggestion would be to call the SUPER NICE LADY before you order, just to make sure of what you are getting. They may have some problems with the description and delivery, but the come through in the end.

You know, I never learned it, but she always refered to speaking with her father about the kilt, in Arizona (she is in San Antonio, TX) and indicated she is a Kidder daughter, although her last name may be different now.

P.S. Fresno is awesome. I love the heat. Seriously.

I NEVER complain about the heat since I moved to the Midwest and have had to endure subzero temps with 30+ mph winds. Only kilt weather for the strongest of men.
