Just by eyeballing it, it looks like the kilt was sized for "waist," and the person wearing it is "low-riding" it across the hips.

If he'd wear it at the waist, it'd probably look a lot better.

No matter how you slice it. It looks like a skirt.
what is the definition of KILT?
and how do any of these disasters fit that description? LOl

I think that was likely measured to be that long, and even if you wore it under the armpits, it would still be too ill fitting to be a considered a kilt.

I think it's a "fashion kilt" (TFCK?) ment to be that long.
I'm far too traditional (outdated dinosaur?) to like it or even see it as a kilt...to me it's a men's skirt...still don't like it...goths might like it though

    Here we go again...

I didn't find this picture to be especially a "Kilt Don't". The model is wearing a modern kilt , not a traditional one. It is obviously designed to be worn longer, at the hips, without the accessories. I think he looks fine, he's ready to go out to the clubs and dance with some very hip young ladies to some Frankie Goes to Hollywood or Duran Duran... (I think I just dated myself, which would also make me an outdated dinosaur).

Would I want to wear that? N O ! I think the point of this whole thread has been to show people wearing things improperly or showing strange clothing badly presented as a traditional kilt. This picture does neither. It is what it is. If you aren't a fan of the look that is understandable. But I don't think it qualifies as a "Kilt Don't"

Lastly to all please drink your milk, eat a balanced diet, remember to call your Mother, try to be nice to one another, table manners do count, watch out for rabid wolverines carrying chainsaws, don't litter, please come to a complete stop at any posted Stop sign, always wait at least a half hour after eating before you go swimming, it's the thought that counts, Solyent Green is PEOPLE!,don't cross the streams,

My point was that it was not a poorly measured kilt as suggested, but was instead designed to look like it does. This is not the thread for "what is a kilt" and "what is not a kilt". If anyone wants to beat the skirt vs kilt subject don't do it on this thread.
