Wow! Thanks for the warm welcome!
Don't laugh, but I have seen this term all over and don't know exactly what type of kilt it refers to, "tank". Any explanation would be appreciated. And by the way, someone mentioned an aversion to tartans. Definitely not. Just wanted to try a lower cost plain one first to see if this might stick (also couldn't find the clan tartan, Keith, in a lower cost fabric.)

Welcome to the forum, from south central Virginia. If you happen to see a slightly overweight old fart in a kilt and an Xmarks tee shirt at the Potomac Games this coming weekend, come over and introduce yourself. I'll be there both days.

Don't worry, everyone asks that question.
From the FAQ section:
http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f...q#faq_faq_abbr
"A 'TANK' is defined as an eight-yard, wool, hand-sewn, traditional kilt. ie., "It's built like a tank." (coined by Jimmy Carbomb c.2005)"

Wrightsville is between York (where they make Harleys) and Lancaster (home of the Amish) on the Susquehanna River. Also, between Harrisburg to the north and Baltimore to the south.
