Thank God, it's about time! I was ready to send out the cyber PI's to see what had happened to you.

I'll agree with the others that cable does seem to be easier to get setup, as long as the cable appointment is for a day and time more specific than "sometime this week between 8 and 5"!

Looking forward to more great posts.

Phil, they use that "color" paint because they get it so cheap it adds almost nothing to the cost. The way around it ( got this from my landlord who is a building contractor) is to supply the paint yourself by prearrangement with the builder. Otherwise you end up with cheap crappy paint.

Congratulations on the new house Glassman. When my dear wife Ann became disabled we considered moving to a bungalow (single level house) but we decided to stay here and adapt the house accordingly. We have fitted a ramp with handrails from the street to the door, a conservatory; electric stair lifts; raised toilet with grabhandles; walk-in-shower; grab handles at strategic corners etc..

That makes me appreciate our builder even more. When the time came to order paint, he sat down with my wife and I and allowed us to pick our colors.

Glad that you are back Phil. Glad that your house is now user friendly! Yes the bittersweet of a new house and dealing with all sorts of things that you were not anticipating, extremely frustrating. But yeah that it is done.

    Welcome back!
I've had my share of bad experiences with Verizon as well. I'm glad to hear you found a way to ditch ALL your connections with them.

    Looking forward to your posts!!
