Well, there's me--served in US Navy 1967-73. I'm putting this issue up to my post of the Scottish-American Military Society; we have quite a few Navy vets. In any case I'll be sending a contribution myself.

I'll have to contribute. There wouldn't be a US Navy Tartan w/o him! I also emailed the link to the History editor at the US Naval Institute. Maybe an article in Proceedings or Naval History will get some cash flowing.

Not a Navy vet myself, I'm ex-Army. However, both of my grandfathers served in the Navy in WWI and I had a couple of cousins in the Navy in the Vietnam era. I'll have to see what I can come up with to help.
