    It's Coming Soon....!

The North American Pipe Band Championships

    http://www.glengarryhighlandgames.com/

If the sound of the pipes stirs your blood.... This is the place to experience one of the largest mass pipe bands on the planet. And more spit polished grade 1 bands than you're ever likely to see anywhere else at one event! This is also where the Mohawk Valley Frasers grade 3 band (Barb T.s band) is competing this year. They also host excellent heavy events.

I plan on being there this year. And I will be wearing my newly completed Xmarks tartan kilt. It would be a great spot to meet up with other Xmarks people. Anyone else planning to attend?

    cheers,
    blu

My bagpipe sounds like a moose and a duck . . . well, . . . getting to know one another. I would love to go to the North American Championship (not to play!) someday.

If I tried, the ASPCA would come running because people would think that I'm killing a cat!

Ah, you should go, kilted or not. You may be able to get some good references for wearing a kilt, meet a few other Xmarks members in person, and maybe even find a good source for accessories. I went to my local games for 4 years before I had a kilt. You won't be the only one not kilted, I am pretty sure of that.

Yeah, I'll consider it. I'll still feel odd wearing p*nts, though.
