    Here's to the Scottish Weaver!

I ordered a House of Edgar tartan sample from Peter early in June but hadn't received it by the end of the month - which was odd. I've ordered samples from him before with about a two week turn around time. I called him last Friday and it turns out they are moving their offices and it got lost in the shuffle. Hey a tartan swatch is an easy thing to mis-place when you're moving lock stock and barrel. The good news is he dropped everything to send it out next day air - at no cost with an aplogy.

I just wanted to give him a public thank you for such great customer service!

Thumbs up Monarch of the Glen Tartan

My search for the "Monarch of the Glen" tartan ended with the House of Edgar. What a wonderful set of tartans they produce. It still is hard to order by the cm, but otherwise they're great.

The true test of the customer service a business provides isn't when everything goes right, it's how good is their service when things go wrong. Good on them for stepping up when they needed to, good on you for recognizing it.

    Cheers

It might be a dead end, but contact the good folks at www.tartantown.com and see if they will give you the name of their source, or if they have any of their old rental kilts for sale.

Sorry for the quick hijack, back to the regular post

The best test of customer service is when things are reported to this site. If it's great - then great, if it's wrong and fixed - then great, if you feel cheated in some way - then a loss of some business. Word of mouth is the most powerful advertising of all.
