Perhaps Hank would introduce a new set of titles based on the quality of the post.

I still feel like a bit like a newbie no matter what my current title says I am.
The titles don't seem very important to me (though the "Kilted Samurai" title is one that always brings a smile to my face.)
If we needed more titles I would suggest this, that after the Title "Grand Defender of the Kilt" the poster submits his or her own Title to Hank/the Moderators. If it is found appropriate to X-Marks that becomes their last title.

If any are going to be added, I think Kilted Jedi needs to be in there. After all you have

Samual L. Jackson http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ckson_full.jpg
Ray Park (Darth Maul) http://www.kiltmen.com/celeb-ray-park.JPG
all in kilts in recent years.

I like both Colin's idea of restructuring the lower titles, and Panche's idea of a personalized title. I know some people have them for whatever reason, but it would be nice for those that have been a part of the community long enough to post 5,000 times to be allowed a personalized title.
I don't see too many people padding for the higher titles, I myself also admit to padding at first, but don't even look at titles any more.
So I vote for a personalized title at a certain post mark.

OK my thoughts on this being one of the "heavy" poters. Remember this is just my opinion. I really never noticed how much I posted (honestly) until someone else mentioned it either by way of posting or a PM. I know that I am odd in my thinking in many things, but I always have felt that in life we have either spectators or participants. Yes sometimes it is fun to spectate, but so much more fun participate. I enjoy posting, and hopefully I do not post anything trite or insignificant.
Like I said before this is only my opinion.

I tend to agree that the relative ease with which new titles are acquired at first helps draw people into the forum. It adds a little excitement for newbies. But personally I'm rather glad that I'm now in a spot where I've quite a lot of posts to go until my title changes. For some reason it takes the pressure off constantly posting.
So I guess I wouldn't change a thing with the rankings, with the possible exception of changing the name of the Kilted Samurai. That just always struck me as odd.
