Irn Bru is actually pretty accessible in alot of BC, though it does seem to come in waves of availability. Right now I out of luck, but my local British Butcher expects more shortly.

I tried it at the Gatlinburg games. I wasn't overly impressed. Maybe because it was over priced. Its my understanding that the Irn Bru available in the US is not the same as the Irn Bru in the UK. Probably a dye or flavor additive not allowed by the USDA. I don't know if the same applies in Canada.
I did hear that it was good for hangovers.
Mix it with a blended whisky and it's just as good for getting the hangover. A good fry up in the morning or a chip buttie after a night out is good for the hang over
I still indulge in a diet version of Irn Bru - it contains a trace of ammonium ferric citrate. Has to be the diet version - I can't cope with sugar these days.
However, there is now diet dandelion and burdock on the shelves at Tesco.
I am hoping for strawberry and raspberry cream sodas to appear eventually!!
