That is a pretty good price. It's a tad more than I could get the Top Value 8 yarder from kilt store, so I'm wondering how they would compare.

I know I have to be careful because this site is sponsored by the kilt Store, but to have bought the equivelant kilt from them would have cost me £232 (and I don't know if postage would be extra - Glenniff post free). It would have to be a very good kilt indeed to be any better. As I said I can't fault them, and I've had four top quality kilts from Scottish kiltmakers in my time.

Not a bad price but how good is the wool and weave?

    Would have to feel it.

I forgot to mention that the kilt is made by Clann Crois and I believe it's Martin Mills 16oz (Jura) quality. One of my other kilts is in Lochcarron Strome and this is obviously better quality (feels softer) but for the price the quality of the Glenniff tartan is excellent. I'm sure the my Glenniff will 'soften up' with time and wear, but one of the things I like about it is that it has a proper worsted sheen to it, which I think looks great.
