Yes. Henderson (ancient.) It was the first kilt I bought.
I have full intention of purchasing the Henderson (weathered) as well. Hmm... perhaps it's time to order some swatches in all things Henderson...

District wise: I have the Ireland's National on order from USAK (coming next week.) On the district wishlist: Irish County Mayo (maternal line) and Irish County Limerick (Paternal line.) Also want a New Mexico "Land of Enchantment" state tartan.

The very next kilt (unless I buckle and buy another casual for immediate gratification) will be an 8 yarder in the U.S. Air Force (unofficial) tartan from Kathy Lare. She sent me a swatch and I can't stop staring at it!

I've nothing yet in the family tartan. My mother's grandfather was a Clark. USAK, of course, caries this tartan now- and that's a very strong consideration, based on their rep on this site. In the dim mists of time the Clark tartan was identical with the Clergy, which is widely available. My maternal grandfather was born in Sligo, for which there is a district tartan. As well, there is the Maple Leaf tartan, the B.C. tartan and even the Vancouver tartan to be pondered and desired. I think Rocky will be getting a call from me first.
    I've kilt for less.

    I don't. . . yet.

That will be remedied in a couple months after Rocky's special order of MacEwen Muted

The only kilt I have at the moment is in the Cornish National tartan. I have a Cornish surname and was born and raised in a part of Australia that has a avery strong Cornish heritage. Yeah, I know... it's a very 'new' tartan (only been around about 40years) and there is no real historical evidence to show that the Cornish ever wore kilts, but today's innovation is tomorrow's tradition!

My mother (who I never knew) was a Rutherford, and the Rutherfords are a sept on Clan Home, so I'm thinking that my next kilt will be in the Home tartan. (Borders clans admittedly, but hey, this is a forum for peoplke who like kilts, not trews!)

It's only in the last couple of years that I have discovered anything about my mother's heritage, so I'm on a bit of a Scottish odyssey. I've discovered that one of my G-G-Grandmothers was from Paisley, which has a great district tartan, and that I also have ties with the Elliots (another attractive tartan that I may consider). I'm also related to Sir Walter Scott, so I would consider the black & white Scott as a tribute.

I also have a good dose of Irish ancestry (Boyles and Nolans) so the Irish Diaspora tartan or a SWK in Irish Nationa (as a 'cheapie' kilt for gig etc.) could also be considered.

I guess, for me, it's all amatter of finances
