    My new Olive AmeriKilt

It's here! This is my first kilt (perfect fit/length) and WOW is it comfortable. I've only had it on for fifteen minutes, but I don't think I can wear trousers again. How was I able to live with trousers for twenty-seven years? No more!

I'm contemplating either a SWK standard, or perhaps a USAKilt. If I get a USAKilt I want to get the semi traditional, so that one may have to wait awhile. Hmm, maybe I can get a couple of SWK standards so I can wear the kilt as often as possible. I figure that with just three kilts, I can wear them everyday, though I may have to clean them more often until I have five, seven . . . twenty or more kilts

I'm a full blown kilt addict for sure!

Next thing you know you'll be rolling your own. Congratulations on your new kilt. I've not tried a USAK yet as I like a more traditional kilt. I really like my SWK standard though. O'Neille

Yup - you got the "disease" all right. Fair warning... it don't wash off and it don't rinse out... time to start identifying additional closet space

I had to run a few errands and most people don't seem to notice or even care that I'm wearing a kilt. One gentleman introduced himself as a Richie from the Macdonalds, a few asked if I played the pipes (I do play the tinwhistle!), and one chap asked if it was a Utilikilt, saying he was of Irish blood, so I gave him an AmeriKilt business card.

So, even though I garnered more attention than I normally like, it was a nice experience for my first kilted outing.

Congratulations! It looks like you have stepped right out in public and found out that it's really a non-issue - good going! Amerikilt makes a nice, affordable non-traditional. I'm sure there will be more kilts in your future.
