RAGBRAI Kilted...

RAGBRAI, the [Des Moines] Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa, is currently underway. The director of library, who is quite the "bike-heid", and follows the ride each year, showed me this picture of a kilted rider in RAGBRAI:

That ride has more bicycles than the vast majority of Highland Games here in the states have kilts. Never ridden it myself but did watch the crowd go thru near Des Moines one year.

Wouldn't you know it? He's wearing what appears to be a Sierra Nevada Brewing Company jersey. Those Californians are so goofy! Can you imagine riding in a kilt? How does one hold the chamois in place?
