    It's a seldom recorded fact that many battles of this time period ended this same way. However, the bards of the era realized there wasn't much coin in singing about how "brave laird so-and-so" ran like a wee girl to his S.U.V. when the rain started.

    (Strange how these previously unremembered "historical facts" come to mind when I start dipping into the single malt....)

    wow - metal weapons!

    Hey there P1M!

    Marvelous piccies! Being a member of the SCA, I can really appreciate the time and effort put into such excellent re-enactments. I also marvel at the use of metal weapons in such close-quarter combat! And in such 'orrible weather too! It's a wonder no one was hurt (well, the English laird was killed, but that's no big loss :rolleyes: )

    Maybe it was all just part of the reenactment. It probably rained during the actual battle.
