I wear mine at or above. When I first saw this, I expected a poll on where we wear kilts out somewhere, such as at resturants and such.

If you have a bear belly then above all the time, looks much better

At, or above. Depends on the kilt. My UK, slightly above, otherwise, it looks too long. The traditionals, right at.

It depends upon the kilt! I have traditionals with a 2" or more rise and I have hipsters (and others that are somewhere between the two). You haven't given provision for me to vote, so I fear this will have to do!!

That part is easy - always, everywhere, during every waking moment. At least that is my goal.

I agree with Hamish, it depends on the kilt.
My UKs are worn on the hip...
My trad tanks above the belly button...
And I wear my kilts wherever (work, shopping, church, concert, etc.)...
.

Here's the waist question again! Natural, Normal, which could it be? Hips and waist measuring are rather illusive in pinning down.
I have a widest area about my hips, a boney area about the top of my pelvis, and belly button at the largest measuring area about my torso, or stomach. My UK's rest upon the area between the pelvis and hip. The pelvis measures 35 1/2in and the hip measures 36 1/2in. not a lot to work with, but a thick shirt tucked in helps until I pull the belt one notch up and it rests on the widest area of the hip  .
Go, have fun, don't work at, make it fun! Kilt them, for they know not, what they wear. Where am I now?
