You know, I've read about Caerlaverock Caste for years...decades, but I never understood about the size....it's really fairly small. It's a good looking castle, but it's not nearly as large as I thought it was going to be.

aye... maist castles roon here arr no very large... towers maistly...
Caerlaverock is very unique because it is triangle shaped....

Your pics al ways make me jealous though. I wish I could just up and go hike around Scotland and her castles on the weekends!
