I will only be able to attend Saturday, and most likely, after the parade. I have to head home on Saturday night.

We'll just have to set up a time at the Glenfiddich tent or, probably the easiest, would be to meet over by the piping competition. I'll probably be there most of the afternoon. It's behind the big bear truck that will be there all weekend.

Bought my tickets yesterday.
Now I have to decide what to do Friday night...the wife said we had to do something other than Scottish games. I can't decide if I should go to teh Rockies game, or the Tesla/Slaughter concert in Loveland.....

Unless something drastic comes up, I will be there Saturday, probably not staying over night, but wouldn’t mind meeting you guys someplace during the day just to say hey.

Colorado-Kilted Pub Night Out?
Hey brothers....
Went to Longs Peak on Sat and had a blast. My kid wants to joust now though :-)
Anyway, I forgot to check and see when you all were going to be there so wasn't able to meet up. Sorry bout that.
I wanted to run an idea by you all though. Id like to put together a montly or bi weekly (or whatever we want time wise) get together for a beer or something at a pub in Denver or here in the Springs (or can alternate so we all aren't driving the same amount each time). Would be a good chance for all us kilted folks here in CO to get to know each other and have some fun.
I will be honest, I feel a tad isolated here. I am the only kilted guy I know and I would like to remedy that. Plus getting together for a beer is always good. As the Euro-Qualifiers are on now and the rubgy world cup is coming up there might be some good sporting events to watch as well.
What are your thoughts? I can do the legwork and coordinate it all if you all are interested. All you'd have to do is set aside the time and show up. If you are interested just send me your e-mails and I can put together a Colorado Kilted list of sorts and we can work off that. Anyone else you know here in Colorado that might be interested let them know as well and invite 'em.
Give me some feedback here....
Dave

I'd be game, since I am so close to Colorado. But, I would need another reason (ball game, concert, etc...) so I can justify the time and gas. Don't get me wrong, but 4 hour drive each way is a considerable consideration ( )
Also, I posted my pics from the parade and games on the photos section.

Yeah, that makes sense. You like Rugby? There are a couple teams around here that play...we can start there I guess and then head out for a pint.

Well, we went to the Festival over the weekend. Just got back late yesterday. Sorry we didn't meet up with any of you guys. We arrived at the beer tent at 11:30 (Traffic was a bugger) didn't see anyone wearing an Xmarkers shirt. The four of us were wearing our xmark shirts and we walked all over and never saw another one the whole time. We did get a few enquiries about the logo and when we explained the web site everyone we spoke with really thought this was great. So hopefully we should get a few others checking in sometime. There is always so much to see and do, it's nearly impossible to get everything done so we concentrate on something different each time we go.
I must say the scotch at the clan tents was really good and thanks to the hospitality of the clan members who did the pouring

Glad you could make it Rusty. With the two beer trailers there, maybe we should have made it Clan Row for the meeting. Oh well, next yeart that we will. Of course, the rain did make it hard to stay in one outside area for long.
