I don't care what anyone says or thinks about this, it is a question that everyone wonders when they see a guy in a kilt.
Let's face it, the vast majority of women wear underwear for a variety of reasons.
However, most kilted guys DON'T and everyone knows that.
So.....when people see a kilted guy their imagination just runs wild.
I was at a restaurant a few weeks ago sitting next to a women and I was wearing pants. The subject of kilts came up and she admitted that every time she sees a guy in a kilt she wants to run over, throw the kilt up in the air, and see what is under there.
Okay....more than I ever wanted to know about her secret desires...

So, based on what she saw, she thought you deserved a free drink?
Quite a compliment.

Nah...picture only showed my rear...nothing spectacular. I don't like people (even if it's a cute lass!) lifting my kilt...let alone taking sneaky pictures from underneath. "The question" is very boring, but this is beyond boring.
I'll end up doing time when I should do something like that...or at least get a justified slap in the face. Besides...I'm 46 and married, I'm not a grumpy old man, but I'm gettin too old for this kind of nonsense

So.....did you smile and accept the drink or did you tell her she belonged in jail? How did the story end?

I was just stunned....sort of numbed and speechless. I accepted the beer with a bit of an empty smile. Took a few minutes to "kick in" I guess.
People are weird...well look at what you can buy in the tourist gift shops (Royal Mile)....mugs, mousemats, postcards etc. with obscene "kilt jokes" and images. No wonder some get strange ideas about kilts.
Not a big deal, but not my taste for sure

I think it takes a couple of drills to figure out exactly how to handle these situations - but you never know what curve balls people will send you. Now that I've read Robin's story, I will practice saying, "I will accept your offer on the condition that you delete your photograph for me now, otherwise I will speak to the manager of the establishment."
Grrrr...

Correct me if I'm wrong but she only took a picture of the backside of your kilt? Whats so wrong with that and why would the "manager of the establishment" care unless there was a sign that said no cameras or pictures? I could understand if she was taking pictures under the kilt but just taking a pic of the back of it is a problem why?
