9/7 2006 Longs Peak Scottish/irish Highland Festival
Ok Folks. The 30th Longs Peak Festival is coming. Four weeks from this weekend. Starting Thursday evening Sept 7th thru Sunday, Sept 10th. I'll be at the Scotch tasting on Friday, at the parade Sat monring and on the grounds most of the rest of the weekend. Not sure about the Ceilidhs or Celtic Concerts. I'd suggest we meed around the big trailer for the beer at the east end of the food court area. That seems to be the most open OR at the ball diamond (hmmmm...the whisky tent is right behind the backstop). Time? I'm open at this point, still haven't heard what times I'll be working. I should be able to make a trade if I need too. So far those that have indicated a willingness to be there or have tickets:

Norbydog
Mudd ?
flyv65 ?

Any more out there???

The Longs Peak (Estes Park, CO) Highland Games are coming up in 2 weeks. I'll be there from Noon on Friday till sometime Sunday afternoon. Who wants to meet up, either at the games or around town somewhere?

We plan on being there on Saturday, 9/9. I'm looking forward to it being nice and cool up there.
A friend from work will also be there on that day. He will be wearing his Drummond of Perth Tartan.
See ya there.

Lets be sure to take pictures of the group first thing
Because they might be a bit blurry after we get together or we might get absent minded and forget altogether

bleary eyed? What, you're not going to sleep at some point? I'm thinking that we meet at about 11 at either the ball diamond or the beer trailer.
Just remember, the temp has been dropping lately so we could have snow on Sat am like we have had in the past

I'll be working the pipe competition Sat afternoon and Sun morning so lets go for around 11 on Saturday at the ball diamond.
If anyone wants to say hi on Sun morning, I'll be around the pipe competition over by the basketball court. Basically the Southeast corner of the grounds.

I should be at the parade on Saturday, but I may be a little late. I have never been to Estes Park before, so I am not familiar with the landmarks. I am certain I will make it to the beer area. Please look for me, as I expect to be very lost. I will be wearing my Irish/American kilt from Scittishkilts.net. I will be accompanied by my wife (who will finally wear her ladies Sportkilt) ((Black Stewart)), and my buddy, who is borrowing my Stillwater Black Shadow (P.S. It is his first time kilted).

OK. 11 o’clock at the beer diamond or the baseball trailer.
And keep an eye out for a strapping young man in an Irish/American accompanied by a beautiful woman in a Black Stewart and some guy tagging along in a Black Shadow. Got it.
