    Oh the Shame of it.

Alas this morning I jumped outta bed and, dare I confess, slipped on boxers (TMI) and shorts. I had to take the daughter shopping for cookout later that day.

Then stopped by jjoseph's to hang out and IT, my shorts, were pointed out to my horror!

Oh the shame to caught out in pants!

Can I get a chit from PA (Pants Anonymous)?

Can I be forgiven for straying?

    your poorly humble servant,
    Randy

It's strange, but I have had several dreams lately about wearing pants (boxers and everything! *shudder*) and I felt so constricted and just . . . not good. No pants for me. Since I don't have a "house-kilt" as of yet, I wear a pair of shorts in the evening and in the morning whilst preparing tea. But that's as close as I'm going to come to pants until I get a "house-kilt" and I'll be damned if I ever wear underwear again. They are evil . . . well, that's an exageration, but the kilted life is more blessed than the bifurcated, boxered restraints called trousers/pants/etc.

You might have been embarassed, but that will pass . . . you can redeem yourself, mate, no worries.

    James

Burning a pair of pants will appease the Kilt Gods.

By all means, burn them! I mean symbolic in the sense of declaring your independence from them

And yet perhaps it was sweet Providence to our rescue as Randy went swimming; we were merely subjected to wet boxers (since he brought no change of clothes) .... and not just wet Randy.

With all the talk about Wicker Man and Burning Man and such recently, perhaps it's time for us to have our own festival:

    BURNING PANTS!

We can build a big steel pants-shaped structure and hang our pants on them, or if we get too many we can just toss them inside the structure. There'll be Highland games, a pub, and any number of kilt-related activities going on, and then on Day 3 or whatever we'll light up the pants and all stand around marvelling at the burning wonder. I'm sure we could find a few bands to come and play...

yes, the Kilt gods demand the burning of the pants. I saw a group of pant-wearers today. They all looked rather uncomfortable, but did not seem to know why. That is a sign that the pants should be burned as soon as possible, to prevent further uncomfortableness!!!

hmm...that would be fantastic!!! we can get even more participation by working with the people from no pants day. We only need a place with a wide-open space, lax clothing laws and a lot of water!!!

and the day after the pants are all burned up, we can put a huge kilt on the steel structure!!! with an 8 yarder called a "tank", what would you call an 80-yard kilt??
