Actually, there is quite the active Scottish community in Argentina:

I had a friend in Argentina (who has now moved to Quebec) who was of Scottish heritage, and wore his kilt frequently to various Scottish events, and never had any problems associated with the Falklands War -- I even asked him that very question, and he said that he had never even heard it mentioned.
