yesterday at the post office ( mailing off some of the shirts I've made up) and several ladies made the "nice legs" comment, and one spent a good five minutes commenting on how I should wear the kilt everywhere!

To make things even more interesting, I had to go back to the post office today, and the employees were visibly upset that I was not wearing the kilt. They voiced their opinions as such, somthing along the lines of "We had hoped we could see your legs again today!". I laughed and told them that since I was on my way to work, there was not way I could wear the kilt to work.

here is to the power of the kilt!!!

I hear nice comments...oh! nice!....cute!...etc, but the nicest I ever heard was from my own mum when she walked behind me together with my in-laws.

"He has the legs for it"

Some new office ladies at my Daughters School saw me kilted after rugby last Friday because I didn't have time to go home and change before picking her up. I didn't need to change because of the kilt, but because I was a little sweaty and beat up. I saw them talking, then the indicative, look over there head fake, and then they were politely trying not to stare. I saw them again today and they were totally not even aware that I was kilted, I started talking to them before going in to check with my Daughter's teacher. They said a few kids asked why I was dressed that way and they said they told them what they knew about kilts. Long story short, two of the teachers asked if I would come when they do a social studies class on national dress. On my way to the car one of the Moms that overheard the conversation said "they were trying not to look, because they were drooling", that made my day. O'Neille

I get alot of "Nice Skirt" from ladies. I'll say in response, "It's a kilt." With out fail they'll say something like, "I know, you really look good in it." Then I'll say, "Well, you can call it anything you want." They blush, I grin and .....

    Kilt On.

    Or this response:

D'ya know why they call it a kilt?

'cause of all those what got kill-t
    calling it skirt.

If you can have a good scottish accent...it works in a very humeroous way.
