A Resounding "NO!"
My wife is definitely not a supporter and not happy with my kilts. She calls them ‘skirts’ at all times and in a derogatory tone of voice and says that, “Its an embarrassment to be seen with you in a skirt.” or “Real men don’t wear skirts.” The only time she tolerates it is when I am playing my pipes or at an occasion where kilts are an “acceptable costume” as she calls it. She has even had her friends tell her that I look great and that they really like my kilts and seeing me in them. It’s her opinion that they are just trying to be kind to her so she won’t feel so embarrassed. After 29 years, I doubt that I will ever change her mind. I also doubt that she will change mine so on that we’re even.
