This is Monsoon season rains every day for a while. It was in the high 70's up there and about 90F down here at 4400'. Perfect for hiking up a creek without a paddle. "We don't need no stinking paddles, we have kilts...the perfect creek fording garmet" O'Neille

fantastic pics O'Neille, what beautiful views!
oh..and BTW, the deerstalker kilt looks way better with this outfit. The pale green shirt and more casual shoes n' sox compliment that camo very nicely.
In fact, that camo pattern seems to work very well in that environment. In a couple of pics part of you blends right into the backgrounds.

Who needs a vacation when you can have all these places come here, to X-marks? Great photos - thanks for sharing them.
But the kid needs a name, and I'm afraid "Mountain Goat Girl" conjures up the wrong backstory.

At any moment you must be prepared to give up who you are today for who you could become tomorrow.

Your right, you probably couldn't post kilted pictures taken during hurricane Ernesto, It might be a good way to get you wool kilts rain clean though. O'Neille

Great pics, O'Neille! Your little gal (or should I say, Petite Celtic Sprite) is indeed a phine photographer!
Aren't those the Huachuca (Wah-choo-kah) mountains you're hiking in? They've certainly greened up nicely with all the monsoon rain you've been getting down south. Even though we're still officially in an 11-year drought, it's been nice to get a few good monsoon storms this year - really helps break the heat here in Phoenix (& helps lower my water bill!). The Huachuca & Chiricahua mountains are a beautiful part of our very scenic state that a lot of folks don't think of visiting; most folks think the purty parts of the state are all up north... (plus there's Karchner Caverns, Mt. Lemon, the Saguaro National Park, & on-and-on)
I agree with cloves that the camo kilt is perfect for your nature hike.
Thanks for sharing!
