Does anyone own one of the older style bonnets from the Museum? There is no provision for putting in hat measurements/head size, so I dunno if these are one size fits all, elastic banded, or if they are older fashioned, and adjusted with a ribbon.
I've got one of these in green. It's basically one size with a ribbon adjustment.

Check out the selection at Penny's of Thunderbay as well. I just ordered a belt (brown), buckle, and kid's sporran from them last week. Very friendly service so far. Probably not top of the line stuff, but good prices and likely a good intro to bonnets. I know I bought a balmoral a few years back and have only worn it once. Glad I didn't spend an arm and a leg on it.
Thanks davedove. As long as it'll fit over my head, I am good. I haven't actually measured my head... but I should be fine! It isn't giant or anything.

Ok, so just how DOES one measure one's head for a hat?? How does it translate? If I'm a 7 3/8 I''m quite sure that a tape measure stretched around my head is going to measure more than that. (Or am I nuts?)
