As I knew the others would be so "oooing and ahhing" I had to note SOMETHING!!!! It all looks SO GREAT that the shoes is all I noticed from the pic.

By the by, what is the horse-that-should-be-dog-meat's-name?
Barbarosa. My mom, his owner, and the only reason he's not out adhering macaroni to some kindergardener's picture, had to chase him for fifteen minutes just to get a halter on him! Every time he acts stupid around her, she coddles him and tells him it'll be okay. When he acts stupid around me, I kick his a**. That's why I've never spent more than five minutes trying to catch him; whenever he turns his butt to me or does his 'I'm going to start walking away before you can get a rope on me', I lay a rope across his butt. He soon learns that running away from me hurts.
We've got another horse on the way. His name's Cruiser. He prettier, sweeter, and he's so calm his previous owner's 3 year old daughter used to swing on his tail. Maybe for my next kilt I'll pose with him

I'll see if I can find some cheap black ropers that I won't be afraid to wear in the pasture.

Gotta say, I like your approach. You're the best addition to this forum since, well, I joined.

Nice pictures of another successful O'Neille kilt which looks superb.

The outfit looks great, don't sweat the shoe thing, I understand, when I'm going to be doing a lot of walking, I wear my soild black leather Reeboks with my kilt. They are comfy!

The whole outfit looks wonderful but I particularly like the hose. Very smart.

The horse-that-should-be-dog-food is the big brown blur behind the petite redhead wearing the Hunting MacLeod.
I think the whole outfit looks good. If anything, I would switch to a wider, more traditional style belt before changing the shoes. I just think the wider belt looks better with a traditional style kilt (or mini-).
I kinda surprised that no one mentioned that your leathers matched.
Wait, that doesn't sound quite right ...
Try that again - your shoes may be "informal," but the black leather matches the belt you were wearing.
