A 'plane trip for Ann
Ann had her first trip on the Piper Cherokee yesterday. We went to Blackpool, where we had a very nice lunch in a hotel. One of the flying instructors and her husband came with us. He has a qualification in handling disabled people and was a great help getting Ann on and off the 'plane. He took this photo of Ann and I with the instructor at Blackpool Airport.

We had to leave Ann's mobility scooter behind at Carlisle due to its weight and bulk, but Blackpool Airport very kindly loaned us a wheelchair to get Ann around while in Blackpool.
Our outward trip had been via the Lune Gorge, but we returned by crossing Morecambe Bay to Walney Island and round the west side of the Lake District. Here is a photo of Wast Water taken by one of my passengers on the way home.
