Whoa! and Any Kilties in Tampa Bay, Florida?
It's been awhile since I've checked in here and wow! there are a lot of posts. Not sure I can catch up with it all! I probably won't be able to for awhile. I am moving to the Tampa Bay area on 9/21/06. Now, being new there, I wonder if there are more kilt-wearers there than in this overgrown village of Hemet, CA. I'm not sure what to expect as far as reactions--not that I really care, because I'll wear the kilt whether people like it or not.
Why am I moving to Florida? Well, things have worked out famously with that beautiful young babe from work that I was telling you about, two long-lost lovers together at last. At least I know she likes my kilts

I'm not in Tampa, but there are a bunch of kit wearing rabbles over there. Check out New World Celts. www.newworldcelts.org
There are just getting ready for a "Half Way to St. Patrick Day" party next weekend! Should be fun!

DI, give me a shout when you get into town. We are just getting settled, but it is moving back home for us, so we know the area very well. Been in the area off and on since 84, and in FL for longer than that. Looks like you'll miss the 1/2 way to St. Patty's day festival this weekend in Dunedin, but we are planning on attending. Should be fun.
Can't tell you much about kilt wearing here. I started wearing mine while we were in Chicago, but nothing but "nice kilt" comments so far.

Sure thing! Too bad I'll miss 1/2 Way--sounds like a lot of fun.
Well, I have a lot to do, but it's goiing more quickly than I expected. I'll be flying (because I have a cat that I would hate to keep on the road for days at a time) and I'm having my stuff (including my car) shipped.

I hear you! We have 4 cats and an older dog. The 2+ day trip from Chicago was enough for them, let alone a trip from CA. Look forward to meeting you. Have you determined where you will live? PM me if you would like.

Have fun over there. I was planning on making a run over to the Tampa Bay area for the pub thing, but going to be working a show at Universal on Saturday. Looks like I'm going to have to stop by "Pat O'brian" for a hurricane or 2 after the concert. I hope to have some photos of me working....I'll keep you guys posted.
