BTW, Queen's Univesity in Kingston has close ties with the University of Edinburgh. They have the same crest with only one minor alteration. Thus the whole kilt thing during frosh week.

In fact, Queen's has its own tartan, a pipe band and the sports teams are called the Golden Gaels. Students also wear tam o'shanters with tricolour dicing (the University colours are blue, red and yellow). All in all, a very kilt-friendly place to study.
