Let it stop III
This kilt fits beautifully, as you can see. It moves easily and gives great swing; quite a bit more than the SWK, even though that one has 28 pleats 3 ¼” deep with a 1-inch reveal.

Here’s my first attempt at the Hamish Flip. (needs work)

Here’s my Riverkilts pose, minus the scenery (it’s a rainy day in Georgia).

All in all, I'm a happy kilter and well set up to go to the Atlanta Fall Irish Festival this weekend here in Roswell. A warm-up for the Loch Hartwell and Stone Mountain Games.
Whew! That was about a 6-hour effort, including the assessment, ironing, taking and sizing photos, uploading to photobucket, composing, etc. It gives me greater appreciation for the efforts of everyone here who shares their experiences.
(Edit: Added next day)
I forgot to mention that I used my Scotweb points (sort of like frequent kilter miles) to add 2 kilt roll carriers, about $75 value, to my order at no extra cost.

Excellent review. W/ practice you should have that down to about an hour soon. O'Neille
And the quality of the review, composition, and write up reflect your hard work. You must be a lefty, as your watch and sgian have switched sides. Thanks

the kilt looks fantastic!
My only question, are the two belt loops off-center, or are my eyes messing with me with all those lines?

You're looking good Turpin, what's the story on the fall festival at Roswell?

Check out last week's "Neighbor" if you get it, Page 5A. A woman named Katherine Thomas, former Riverdancer (?) and fiddler in the Irish group "Music in the Glen" founded an Irish Arts Foundation locally. This is the inaugural year of this festival. 15 different music and dance acts on three stages. Traditional Irish bands from 5 states, plus dancing. Also workshops on Irish singing, bodhran, and "ceili dance". also the Southeast Uilleann Pper's Club doing a demo.
And more.
At the Doubletree in Roswell, Saturday from 2-7, $15 adults and $10 for students. I plan to wear my SWK saffron and forest green polo for the green-orange thing. Maybe my new balmoral. If you come I don't think you'd be able to miss me. Hope to see you there.
