the kilt looks fantastic!
My only question, are the two belt loops off-center, or are my eyes messing with me with all those lines?

You're looking good Turpin, what's the story on the fall festival at Roswell?

Check out last week's "Neighbor" if you get it, Page 5A. A woman named Katherine Thomas, former Riverdancer (?) and fiddler in the Irish group "Music in the Glen" founded an Irish Arts Foundation locally. This is the inaugural year of this festival. 15 different music and dance acts on three stages. Traditional Irish bands from 5 states, plus dancing. Also workshops on Irish singing, bodhran, and "ceili dance". also the Southeast Uilleann Pper's Club doing a demo.
And more.
At the Doubletree in Roswell, Saturday from 2-7, $15 adults and $10 for students. I plan to wear my SWK saffron and forest green polo for the green-orange thing. Maybe my new balmoral. If you come I don't think you'd be able to miss me. Hope to see you there.

You've got yourself a darn nice looking kilt for the money. While I'm not a fan of the balmoral myself, it does add to the overall effect. I'm sure you'll have many years of enjoyment from this investment.

On further review, chasem is correct. The loops are centerd with respect to the pleats (14 to the outside of each, but when the apron is centered with the stripe in the middle (Officers'-style apron - other ranks had a square centered in the middle) the left loop lines up in the center. I don't know why the kiltmaker put them so close together, so I moved the left loop six stripes over. that seems about right to me now.
Thanks chasem, for pointing that out

Turpin,
That's a really nice kilt. I'm fond of the pletting to the stripe as well.
I like your belt buckle but I can't quite make out...is it 3 dogs?
Enjoy it. It looks great!

It's this one, from Kiltstore. After looking at page after page of the same-looking stuff, this one jumped out and bit me.
