Wow, now I'm glad I've been racing and riding bicycles seriously - I won't get that comment.

Out and about today a gentleman said "You must be from Prestonfield House." Telling him I wasn't and didn't know where that was he said "Everybody in Prestonfield House in Edinburgh wears a black kilt and a black tie." Looking up Pretsonfield House on yahoo search engine tonight I see it is a posh hotel so I suppose it was meant as a compliment.

I googled them as well. POSH seems an understatement. I'm sure it was meant as a compliment.

No doubt referring to the famous portrait of George IV on his visit to Edinburgh in the 1820s

That was great. I think I'll be laughing about that one for a week.

I do have my own story to add to this.......

Yesterday (Sep. 12th 2006) I recieved my shipment from SWK (got a Douglas Economy and a Blackwatch Standard) so today I went to the Small (Mall) to test drive the Blackwatch. I was comming out of a store, maybe Goth pockets (Hot Topic) when I heard a little boy tell his mother, "Mommy that man is wearing a pretty dress." Mom immediately replied, "That is a kilt honey.", "Your daddy married me wearing one of those...." Right away the poor kid started crying and sobbed out, "Why does my daddy wear dresses?"
I turned into another store, I was gonna lose it. Poor kid may be scarred for life, but, it was funny.......
