your floors look nice! I do a lot of bamboo floors over here too. Its one of my specialties. Watch out for water problems, it doesnt hold up well with water and tends to grow mold quickly. Its not the toughest flooring out there either, watch out for scratches and crush marks, like the wheels of your chair and stuff. oh and make sure you dont let the dogs in there if you have any, they'll be a killer on your new floor!

Thanks for the heads up. I knew about the water, but I had understood that bamboo was very hard wearing and would last forever. I know that we have some scratches and a few gouges from moving the furniture in, but other than that nothing seems to hurt it, at least so far. We do have a dog, but she is pretty old and doesn't do too much running around any more. And I do have floor protectors beneath my chair and my wife's office chair, and we put felt pads on all the furniture. We will see how it wears.

My wife just started working from home as well. She is loving it and hates going into the office every couple of weeks for training.

Im sure youre floor will do fine. They put a very hard coat of finish on top of it that has aluminum oxide in it, so it makes it finish fairly tough. However, bamboo isnt a hardwood at all. Its a form a grass and the material itself is really quite soft. You can easily scratch it with your thumb nail. The products gotten better over the past few years though. And it can be sanded and refinished. Its a beautiful foor and is very exotic looking. Its very popular over here.
