Nice to see someone else doing a "Parade of the American Soldier" unit -- our local Sons of Union Veterans Camp does a similar program, with individuals portraying soldiers from each of America's wars (I'm usually the Spanish-American War soldier) for Veteran's Day Parades, Memorial Day, etc.
And who can beat Colorado for scenery? Makes me long for "real" Mountains!

Excellent pictures, man! I wish I was there.
Hey, wait a minute, I was there! I fact, some of those pics in the rain look so familiar, I was probably no more than 20 yards away from you when you took them. Oh well, it’s hard to be observant with cold water running down your neck. It was fun. Great pictures.

You can't see the "real" mountains. They were behind the clouds and they were covered with snow.

The final 2 pics as promised.
First is Alex Beaton. I didn't catch him wearing his western boots like he usually does but note the Saltaire kilt, hose, sporran, sporran chain, hair cut. wait a minute, not the hair, sorry.

And here is Seamus Kennedy. A great Irish pub singer and as funny a person as I've met. He's a member of that Hawaiian Clan, MacHo. Their Clan Chief is Don MacHo who is another famous singer. You can tell their members by the shirts, not the kilts.

Sorry, I was talking with Joe when it went by and missed the photo op. I think the photo of the athletics or one of them up there does show the stream it puts out in the back ground. I'll get it for you next year or look in the archives and pull up an older pic of it.

One other thing before I leave, one of the individual piping competators that appeared before the judge I was steward for has a nice pair of Saltaire lens sunglasses. I'll get a pic of that next year since I know he'll be there again. Now if I could just get a pair of clipons like that......

Thanks. I had been watching for your hat, remembered from Highlands Ranch, but didn't see it and quit looking on Sunday.
